چکیده
Hydrogen bonds are noncovalent interactions able to improve the electronic properties of self-assembled semiconductors. Nevertheless, it is necessary control parameters influencing formation hydrogen achieve hierarchical structures with enhanced properties. In this work, we explore two hydrogen-bonded thiophene-capped diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) derivatives containing amides different topology (C- or N-centered) and compare them a analogue without bonds. We demonstrate differences in optoelectronic self-assembly amide-containing DPP derivatives, as well their charge carrier lifetimes. prove superior comparison molecule bonds, show that our molecular design strategy results supramolecular particularly long lifetimes compared other semiconductors reported literature.

Charge-carrier transport in amorphous organic semiconductors
Organic semiconductors have been extensively studied ever since the successful fabrication of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED).4 2-44 Due to their success, it is becoming increasingly important to understand the theory behind the properties of organic materials. In order to exploit all the advantages of implementing organic materials to construct devices, a detailed understanding of charge-...
متن کاملField Dependent Charge Carrier Transport for Organic Semiconductors at the Time of Flight Configuration
In this paper, we used the time-of-flight (TOF) of a charge packet, that injected by a voltage pulse to calculate the drift velocity and mobility of holes in organic semiconducting polymers. The technique consists in applying a voltage to the anode and calculating the time delay in the appearance of the injected carriers at the other contact. The method is a simple way to determine the charge t...
متن کاملHydrogen-bonded diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) pigments as organic semiconductors
Diketopyrrolopyrroles (DPPs) have recently gained attention as building-blocks for organic semiconducting polymers and small molecules, however the semiconducting properties of their hydrogen-bonded (H-bonded) pigment forms have not been explored. Herein we report on the performance of three archetypical H-bonded DPP pigments, which show ambipolar carrier mobilities in the range 0.01-0.06 cm2/V...
متن کاملCharge carrier coherence and Hall effect in organic semiconductors
Hall effect measurements are important for elucidating the fundamental charge transport mechanisms and intrinsic mobility in organic semiconductors. However, Hall effect studies frequently reveal an unconventional behavior that cannot be readily explained with the simple band-semiconductor Hall effect model. Here, we develop an analytical model of Hall effect in organic field-effect transistors...
متن کاملMeasurement of minority carrier lifetimes in semiconductors
The bulk lifetimes of minority ,carriers in n-type l :germanium, in both n and p-type silicon and in n-type magnesium germanide have been investigated at room temperature. The sample was illuminated with periodic light ·flashes produced by a spark gap. The transient change in conductance of the sample after illumination gave the lifetime. In germanium and silicon the measured bulk lifetimes had...
